Your files stay on your device

All PDF and image tools on Acorn Toolkit run entirely inside your web browser. Files you select are never uploaded to our servers or shared with anyone. When you close the page, they are gone.

The Image to Text tool downloads its open-source recognition engine and language data from a public content delivery network (jsDelivr) the first time you use it. Only these program files are downloaded; your image is processed on your device and is not sent anywhere.

Information we collect

We do not require an account and do not collect your name, email or other personal details unless you contact us directly. We collect anonymous usage statistics (such as pages visited, device type and approximate country) through Google Analytics to improve the site.

Cookies and advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps every tool free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
